2008!

Merry Christmas, friends! It's been a whirlwind year for me and Tim. Where to start?

In January, I graduated from Pacific University with a BA in Theatre. It was three and a half years of hard work, but I did it! Since I graduated a semester before everyone else in my class, I had to wait around for four months before the graduation ceremony in May.
This is my best friend, Tiffanie, and me with our "diplomas." We both completed our coursework in January and went off to bigger and better things, and they sent us our diplomas in February. So at the grad ceremony, they gave us pieces of paper instead that said we'd already picked up our diplomas---because we're so amazing and awesome. After my last class finished in January, I jumped headfirst into a supervisor position at the campus bookstore.

In March, I went on my first professional audition in Portland. I didn't think it was very well organized at all, and I didn't get cast, but I had fun and learned a little, so it was completely worth it. As for my future in the theatre? I daresay I'll get back there someday, but I don't miss it much at all right now.

Probably the biggest news of the year is that Tim and I got engaged in April! After a very long shift at work, I came home grumpy and went to bed early with a headache. After I'd been trying to sleep for half an hour, Tim woke me up and proposed. I hit him in the head, called him a jerk, and said yes. Wedding plans are very nearly done, and we're excitedly counting down the days to April fifth.

In August, I sort of quit my job. I'd gotten really fed up about a lot of things and had some major issues with a lot of other things, so I told them I was going to start looking for another job. Two months and ten interviews later, I found one. At the beginning of November, I started working as a patient care coordinator (read: receptionist) at a hearing clinic in Beaverton.
